Chapter 52 Back From The Dead.
The CEO of Orion Corporation, the youngest and most promising heir of the Rainsworth family… Jonathan quickly located the headquarters of Orion Corporation, which also served as the main building of Rainsworth Group. He silently noted its location. Soon, another hot topic emerged. Stella and the CEO of Orion Corporation had gone home together to meet their parents, sparking rumors that she might be joining the ranks of the wealthy elite. Jonathan’s expression darkened immediately. He quickly searched for more information on Stella. From the depths of the dark web, he uncovered a trove of explosive revelations about her, each more shocking than the last. Jonathan couldn’t help but frown. “This sc*mbag daddy of mine really has no standards when it comes to people! What a disgrace!” Initially, Jonathan considered exposing these secrets, but after some thought, he decided it would be too easy on his useless father. A woman like Stella should be kept around, so his father could feel the regret for what he’d done.
The next day, when Vivian returned, she had work to attend to. As the heiress of the Kennedy family, her father, Roland, had asked her to return home to manage the branch company to hone her skills. So, she couldn’t stay often, but there was a housekeeper in the villa. Jonathan, ever the little adult, made it especially easy to look after him.
“Ceci, Jonathan is very obedient. Even now, he’s still sound asleep in his room.” While Vivian freshened up, she was also on the phone with Cecilia.
“That’s good,” Cecilia responded thoughtfully. “When we were in Erihal, I had planned to send him to school, but got delayed because of Eli’s situation. I was thinking of finding a preschool for him.”
Vivian was taken aback. “Him? Going to preschool?” She chuckled to herself. If that little rascal goes to preschool, wouldn’t the other kids just be overshadowed by his presence? But then again, he probably wouldn’t bully anyone—he’s too considerate for that. Still, with his devastatingly handsome face, all the boys in preschool wouldn’t stand a chance.
“What’s wrong?” Cecilia asked, sensing Vivian’s hesitation.
“It’s nothing,” Vivian quickly responded. “Leave this to me. I know of an international preschool that would be perfect for him.”
She thought about her nephew, who attended the same preschool.
“Thank you for your trouble,” Cecilia said with appreciation.
“There’s no need for formalities,” Vivian replied warmly.
Jonathan, still asleep from staying up late the previous night, remained unaware of the plans being made for him.
Reluctantly, Cecilia ended the call and prepared to head toward Rainsworth Group. She had seen the breaking news earlier that morning. To her surprise, Nathaniel had already brought Stella home. Now, she needed to find a way to conceive a child before the two of them married—otherwise, things would become even more complicated in the future.
Today, Cecilia had chosen a smart, sophisticated outfit and applied tasteful makeup before stepping out. As soon as she settled into the car, she received a message from Sven.
Sven: Zachary is waiting at the door.
Again?
Cecilia furrowed her brow. She couldn’t understand what hold Stella had over Zachary, making him cling to her so persistently.
She urged the driver to speed up, eager to leave the situation behind. Soon, they overtook the luxurious Maybach parked at the entrance. Inside the car, Zachary’s gaze darkened as he watched. The driver hesitantly asked, “Mr. Zachary, should we…?”
“Yes, Sir,” Zachary replied, leaning back in his seat. His sharp gaze lingered on the departing car, his eyes filled with guilt.
Following Cecilia’s car, Zachary was surprised to see she was heading toward the Rainsworth Group’s headquarters building—Orion Corporation. His curiosity piqued, he watched as Cecilia entered the headquarters. He then picked up his phone and dialed his assistant.
“Come downstairs.”
Three minutes later, the assistant arrived downstairs. Zachary instructed, “Cecilia has returned and is at the company. Find out what’s really going on.”
The assistant was taken aback. Orion Corporation was massive, and the assistant knew the task ahead wouldn’t be easy.
