The Rolls-Royce drove smoothly towards Yara Park, the Thompson family’s grand residence in Hatchbay.
The car came to a stop right in the middle of the red carpet that had been laid out at the front entrance.
There, in the center of it all, stood Axel Thompson, Bella’s second brother.
With a wide grin on his face, he opened the door for her and greeted her in his usual enthusiastic tone.
“Welcome home, Princess!”
Bella stepped out of the car, her heels clicking against the pavement.
She had swapped out her sneakers for stilettos earlier during the ride, and now she looked every bit the queen under the mansion’s bright lights.
With poise and elegance, she walked toward Axel, her figure radiating confidence and beauty.
“Ax, how have you been?” Bella asked with a smile, her voice light but carrying a hint of warmth.
Axel, clearly excited to have his sister back, beamed at her.
“I’m fine, but I’m feeling much better now that you’re back! Did you see the fireworks? My birthday gift for you has gone viral online!” he added with a sense of accomplishment, his handsome face lighting up with pride.
Bella raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips.
“Yeah, I saw it.
People are saying that you’re a filthy rich bastard trying to win someone’s heart.
Quite an achievement, huh?” She clapped her hands together and laughed, amused by the attention Axel had generated.
Axel, unbothered by her teasing, wrapped her in a tight hug, his arms pulling her close.
“Bella, you won’t leave again, right?” he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
Bella sighed, her hands resting on his back.
“Where else will I go now that I’m divorced?” Her words were heavy with emotion, the weight of the past few weeks pressing down on her.
“I’ve let everyone down.
I thought I could win him over if I put all my effort into this marriage.
But in the end, I failed miserably.
Her voice faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.
She wasn’t about to let herself fall apart in front of Axel, even though the devastation in her heart was undeniable.
Only God knew how hurt she was at that moment.
She had wanted to cry, but she held the tears back.
Bella promised herself she would never shed another tear for Justin after leaving Tideview Manor.
He wasn’t worth it.
Axel, however, was seething with anger at the thought of what Justin had done to his sister.
“That asshole! How dare he cheat on my sister?!” he fumed, his voice rising with fury.
“I’ll start a thorough investigation on Salvador Corporation tomorrow, and get your fourth brother to deal with Justin when he’s free!”
Asher, who had been silently listening nearby, lowered his eyelids and murmured, “Amen,” his tone calm yet filled with dark amusement.
Bella shook her head, trying to lighten the mood.
“Ax, don’t cause trouble! You’re a public prosecutor!” She gave him a bitter smile, her voice laced with frustration.
“Can you at least try to be more ‘peace and love,’ like Ash?”
“What the hell! Your eldest brother only became a saint after he stopped being a mobster!” Axel pulled at his tie in frustration.
“Anyway, I won’t let this go.
I won’t just sit by and watch Justin bully my sister.
The Salvadors are officially on my radar now.
Bella, feeling the warmth of her brothers’ support, smiled faintly.
She took their hands and led them into the home she hadn’t returned to in a long time.
As they walked inside, her heart felt a little lighter, knowing that she was surrounded by people who cared for her.
Meanwhile, Wyatt Thompson, the chairman of KS Group and Bella’s father, had been eagerly waiting for his daughter’s return.
When he heard she was back, his joy was palpable.
He could barely contain his excitement and began pacing back and forth in his study, anxious to see her.
“Wyatt, I’m back!” Bella’s voice rang out as she entered, her presence immediately filling the room with warmth.
Wyatt’s face lit up at the sight of her, his heart swelling with pride and love for his daughter.
