As soon as Justin finished speaking, a piercing scream echoed from the restaurant, and Ryan suddenly remembered his date was still left alone with Bella.
Trouble was bound to happen.
“Bro, I can’t talk now.
Anyway, I can’t make it today.
I’ll see you tomorrow!” Ryan was about to hang up when Justin’s sharp voice stopped him.
“Ryan Hoffman, where are you?”
At that moment, another scream came, even more piercing than the last.
“KS World Hotel’s restaurant!” Ryan answered quickly and rushed back to the restaurant.
When he opened the door, he froze in surprise at the sight in front of him.
Bella had his date pinned down, her hair gripped tightly as her head was pressed forcefully to the table.
The woman was completely immobilized.
Ryan’s first thought was, ‘Wow, this is like something out of a crime drama where the cool female detective arrests the criminal!’ He had initially feared Bella might be bullied, but now it seemed that wasn’t the case.
Smiling, he crossed his arms and leaned against the door, watching the scene unfold with amusement.
“I’m going to sue you! I’ll make it so that you can’t survive in Savrow!” Ryan’s date shouted, her face contorted as it was pressed into the table.
Bella’s voice was calm and unbothered.
“Then you should hurry to the hospital.
Otherwise, the slap mark on your face won’t even be visible.
You won’t be able to sue me for anything serious.
Bella’s demeanor remained neutral.
She had only reacted after the woman had attempted to attack her.
Otherwise, she would have left her alone.
When the woman saw Ryan return, she immediately cried out for help.
“Mr.
Hoffman! Mr.
Hoffman, please help me!”
Ryan casually walked over, gently pulling Bella away from his date.
There was no anger in his tone—he spoke more like he was coaxing her.
He wasn’t surprised by the fight; in fact, he’d seen far worse disputes over him between four different women.
The reason he intervened was to avoid any unnecessary drama, especially since this involved Justin’s ex-wife.
If word spread, it could embarrass Justin.
“Mr.
Hoffman! What do you mean it’s enough? This bitch hit me! She slapped me and pulled my hair! You have to seek justice for me!” The woman was livid, still clutching at her disheveled hair.
Bella, sitting back down in her chair, crossed her long legs and looked at the woman with a look of complete indifference, as if she were watching a circus act.
Ryan’s gaze shifted to Bella, taking in her graceful posture.
His eyes lingered for a moment, admiring her beauty, before landing on the Richard Mille watch on her wrist.
‘She’s stunning.
How could she be this gorgeous? I think I’m in love.
He cleared his throat and turned back to the woman, who was still sobbing and trying to defend herself.
“I’m sure you must have provoked Ms.
Brown for her to retaliate like this.
Is that right?”
The woman’s anger flared.
“Why should I apologize? Why?!”
Ryan didn’t miss a beat, leaning forward slightly.
“You like me, but Ms.
Brown doesn’t.
You must’ve picked on her because of it.
Bella raised an eyebrow, impressed by how Ryan handled the situation.
Unlike Justin, he seemed to have a certain logic about him.
In a desperate attempt, the woman cried out, “How could you do this to me, Mr.
Hoffman? I’m your girlfriend!”
Ryan stepped back in disgust as she rushed toward him, arms outstretched.
He managed to avoid her embrace, and she nearly toppled over.
“Girlfriend?” Ryan scoffed.
“When have I ever agreed to that?”
His eyes suddenly hardened, sending a clear message that he was no longer playing along.
“After you apologize, get out of my sight.
Don’t let me see you again.
Everyone in Savrow knew Ryan’s temper.
When he was in a good mood, he was charming and accommodating, but when he was angry, nothing stood in his way.
The woman was terrified.
“I-I’m sorry!” she stammered, her voice breaking as she quickly gathered herself and fled the scene.
Ryan immediately softened and turned to Bella with a warm smile.
“I’m sorry, Ms.
Brown.
Bella, unfazed, glanced at her watch and stood up, preparing to leave.
“Mr.
Hoffman, didn’t you ask her to apologize to me too? We’re even now.
She was about to walk away when Ryan’s eyes widened slightly as he noticed the Richard Mille on her wrist—he knew the watch was a limited edition and thought, Asher must really dote on her to give her something so extravagant.
Even I haven’t gotten a watch like that.
Ryan was still mesmerized by her, but he quickly snapped out of it.
“Ms.
Brown, when do you get off work? I’ll pick you up tonight.
Bella paused and glanced back at him, an eyebrow arched.
“We’ll see, Mr.
Hoffman.
We’ll see.
