She chuckled softly, then turned away, walking back into the villa without looking back.
Justin stood frozen, a sense of unease creeping over him.
Is Anna laughing at me? he thought, a shiver running down his spine.
That night, Justin visited Rosalind, who was supposedly suffering from severe depression.
He stayed at the Golds’ residence until the early hours of the morning, utterly drained.
Despite his growing wariness of Rosalind due to her past actions against Anna, the moment he saw her depression diagnosis, something deep within him stirred.
He understood the pain of depression all too well—it was a trauma he could never forget.
“Mr.
Salvador, something has happened.
Should we deal with it?” Ian asked hesitantly, holding his phone.
Justin, exhausted and rubbing his temples, replied, “Huh?”
“There’s a video circulating online of Ms.
Bethany insulting the housekeeper at the hotel.
The PR department caught it in time and is worried about the potential damage to Salvador Corporation’s image.
They’d like to know how to proceed.
”
“Delete it,” Justin said coldly, his voice firm.
“Don’t let Bethany’s personal issues affect the company.
Delete everything.
”
“Yes, sir!” Ian responded promptly.
When Justin returned to the villa later that night, he was about to head upstairs when he saw Wilma walking out in her pajamas, a worried look on her face.
“Wilma, didn’t I tell you not to wait up for me? I’m busy, and I come back late all the time,” Justin said, feeling a rare surge of warmth in his heart.
Wilma had always waited for him since he was a child.
As long as he didn’t explicitly tell her he wasn’t coming back, she’d wait up for him like a mother waiting for her son.
But as Wilma grew older, she couldn’t keep up with the late hours, and Anna had taken over that role for the past three years, waiting for him every night before going to bed.
“Justin, have you eaten? I left some food for you.
It’s still warm,” Wilma said softly, her concern for him evident.
“Justin, can you go to bed a little earlier next time? Your frequent headaches are also…”
Justin was caught off guard by the news, his eyes widening in shock as he dropped his fork onto the floor.
Bella’s heart sank at the sight of Justin’s flustered reaction.
It was clear that Rosalind’s emotional instability had affected him deeply.
Ian, speaking in a worried tone, relayed the message, “Ms.
Gold was making a fuss at home just now and kept calling your name.
She’s emotionally unstable, so Madam Shannon asks that you go over and have a look at her.
She fears that Ms.
Gold will do something drastic…”
Before Ian could finish his sentence, Justin was already up and rushing out of the dining hall.
