The crowd of elite ladies surrounding Shannon were shocked by Bella’s sharp words and turned to look at Shannon, puzzled.

What does that have to do with climbing?”

“Anna! My mother is your elder.
How dare you be so rude?”
Bethany, seeing her mother’s humiliation, rushed forward in a fit of fury.
“How dare you speak to my mother like that?”
Bella sneered, her gaze indifferent.
Bethany may have inherited her mother’s cunning nature, but she lacked the subtlety to handle someone like Bella.
Bella was uninterested in engaging with such shallow women.
“Do you think everyone here is blind?” she asked coolly.
Unable to tolerate the situation any longer, Steven stepped forward, positioning himself between Bella and the others.

Rosalind, ever the opportunist, took a shot at Bella, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Brown, it seems you have quite a few men standing up for you, like Mr.
Thompson and this gentleman here.

Bella met her gaze, her sharp eyes piercing Rosalind’s.
“Rosalind, it’s easy to spread rumors, but have you ever thought about the consequences of your words?”
Rosalind’s heart skipped a beat.
She had always thought of Anna as an easy target, someone she could easily manipulate.
But now, the woman standing before her made Rosalind nervous.
She could no longer predict what Anna was capable of.
“Ms.
Brown, I think it’s inappropriate for you to be here.
We’re just trying to help you, for your own good,” Jean said with a sweet, mocking smile.
“You got between Rose and Justin when you were young and foolish.
Now, though, the situation has changed.
We won’t blame you for the past, but it’s really inappropriate for you to show up as his ex-wife, especially with Rose soon marrying Justin.
Word might spread, and don’t you think your reputation could be ruined, Ms.
Brown?”
Jean’s words were calculated, and Shannon couldn’t help but admire her quick thinking.
The crowd around them looked at Bella with shock and contempt.
They now knew that this beautiful woman was Justin’s ex-wife, the one who had allegedly come between him and Rosalind.
Bella, however, wasn’t bothered by their judgment.
“I came between them? Haha! Mrs.
Gold, I think your brain is as rotten as the furniture your company makes.
” Bella laughed loudly, her tone unbothered and mocking.
“YOU—!” Jean’s eyes turned red with fury.
“Your precious daughter couldn’t handle the pressure from the Salvador family and broke up with Mr.
Salvador.
He was single when he married me.
How could I have gotten between them? Do you know what your daughter did during the three years I was married to Mr.
Salvador? She had plenty of ways to pester my husband.
Should I list them all for you?” Bella’s words hit hard.
Rosalind and Jean were stunned into silence.
Rosalind, terrified, couldn’t utter a word.
During the three years Anna had been married to Justin, Rosalind had done everything in her power to drive a wedge between them.
She had even sent harassing texts and called Anna to shout at her.
However, Anna had always kept quiet, never retaliating.

Bella narrowed her eyes and nodded to Steven.
“Steve, show them.
”
Steven understood the signal immediately.
He retrieved Bella’s marriage certificate and held it up for everyone to see.
