Chapter 19
the prestigious Riddle family branch, and their sudden appearance left everyone slightly stunned.
Snow and Raine, with their signature elegance and beauty, greeted everyone with warm smiles, though there was a certain air of superiority that followed them wherever they went.
“We just happened to be in the neighborhood,” Raine said sweetly, her voice as smooth as velvet.
“We thought we would drop by and say hello.”
Nicole, standing by the door, raised an eyebrow at the two sisters.
She hadn’t expected them to visit, especially under these circumstances.
Norah, with a proud grin, introduced her cousins to the family.
“These are my cousins, Snow and Raine,” Norah said, beaming.
“You know, the most popular girls at school.”
Gloria and Daniel exchanged glances but didn’t press the matter further, giving polite smiles in response.

She was more focused on the fact that Snow and Raine were looking at her with interest, their eyes sharp as they seemed to assess her in silence.
“So, Nicole,” Raine began, her tone light but probing.
“How are you settling into Royal Creek Institute? It’s not every day we see someone stand up to Austin like that.”
Nicole met her gaze evenly.
“I’m getting by,” she said, her voice calm and measured.
“And I don’t need anyone’s protection.”
Snow and Raine exchanged a quick glance, then smiled.
“We see,” Snow replied, though there was a hint of something unreadable in her eyes.
“You certainly have spirit.
But being popular isn’t just about attitude, you know.”
Nicole simply nodded, not interested in playing the game they were trying to start.
She had other things on her mind—like what had brought these two to her family’s house so suddenly.
What was their real motive?
