Chapter 50
Even with all the noise and commotion, Nicole kept her focus on her book, undisturbed by the scene unfolding around her.
The seductive girl, feeling jealous of Nicole’s calm demeanor and natural beauty, stomped over to her and demanded, “Are you acting deaf? Are you Nicole?”
Nicole finally looked up, her eyes cold and unbothered, sending a chill down the girl’s spine.
“Don’t be so arrogant,” the girl continued, trying to provoke her.
“We’ve all seen you bullying Snow, so you have to apologize to her in public.
Don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re pretty!”
A cute girl behind her added, “That’s right.
Snow is such a gentle person, and you’re so evil for bullying her.
I heard you’re from the countryside, with no family background.
Country people are so uncivilized.
Do you really think you deserve to be the beauty queen?”
The entire class, who had heard the rumors about Nicole ignoring Snow’s calls the day before, started to look at her with disdain.
Nicole, however, didn’t flinch.
She had no time for their petty words.
The seductive girl, growing more enraged by Nicole’s indifference, grabbed her arm and tried to force her to leave.
“Come with us and apologize to Snow!”
Frustrated, Nicole pushed the girl’s hand away.
“Ah!” The girl stumbled, her anger flaring as she looked up at Nicole, shouting, “How dare you push me?!”
Nicole stood up, her voice dripping with contempt.
“So what if I did? You think those blurry pictures are enough to make me apologize?” Her eyes scanned the group of girls with disdain.
“It’s fine if your eyesight is bad, but are you also missing brain cells?”
The seductive girl’s fury boiled over.
How dare Nicole insult her? She was the heir of the Holmes family and had always been Snow’s supporter.
No one insulted her like that and got away with it.
“Are you insulting me, you little country b*tch?!” she screamed.
“Girls, rip her lips off!”
The girls behind her clenched their fists, ready to strike.
But Nicole’s patience had worn thin.
She met the girl’s glare with icy determination.
“I’m giving you one last chance to get lost.
If not, I won’t hold back.”
The seductive girl was beyond reason.
She had always looked down on Nicole, a transfer student from the countryside who had garnered too much attention for her liking, especially after Austin had acknowledged her as his boss.
Now, Nicole was even aiming for Snow’s beauty queen title.
Her luck had gone too far.
Without thinking, the girl lunged at Nicole, her long nails aimed at her face, believing she could ruin Nicole’s beauty.
The other girls charged forward, fists flying, aiming for Nicole’s hair, eyes, and chest.
The students in the class, having witnessed Ashley Holmes and her friends bullying others before, expected Nicole to be intimidated and run.
After all, Ashley was a senior, and her gang of girls was notorious for picking on the weaker students.
The girls they targeted were always helpless, and they figured Nicole would be the same.
But when Ashley’s hands neared Nicole’s face, everything happened too quickly for the students to process.
Nicole moved swiftly, extending her arm with a powerful motion.
Before anyone could react, she had grabbed Ashley by the neck and slammed her against the wall.
The remaining girls hesitated, frightened by the sudden shift in power, but Nicole wasn’t finished.
With one fluid motion, she evaded their attempts to grab her and struck each girl across the face, one after another.
“Smack, smack, smack!” The girls stumbled back, crashing into the desks, their faces burning from the force of the slaps.
The class watched in stunned silence.
“What just happened?” one of the fallen girls gasped, still in disbelief as she tried to process what had just occurred.
Nicole stood tall, wiping her hands with a tissue as if the confrontation had been nothing more than a nuisance.
“Since you’re all girls, I only used one hand,” she said coldly.
“Next time, don’t blame me for going all out.”
Her eyes were deadly serious as she wiped her hands, almost casually, as if she hadn’t just taken down a group of girls with ease.
The class stared, wide-eyed.
“Oh my God… She’s really cool…” one of them whispered.
“Exactly…” another muttered.
Some of their expressions shifted from disdain to awe, while others were too stunned to speak.
As for Ashley and her friends, they were completely dumbfounded.
They had always been the ones to bully others, with none of their victims ever able to fight back.
But Nicole—Nicole had taken them down with one hand, leaving them reeling and humiliated.
If she had used both hands, they realized, they’d be lying flat on the floor, utterly defeated.
And just like that, the once-arrogant group of girls was silenced, and Nicole’s reputation in the class had taken a sharp turn.
